We offer three Active X controls, IntelliTextSA.OCX, IntelliDrawSA.OCX, IRAPISA.DLL, as well as a native Java API for high-level interface demands. When entering Mexican points, you must also enter a state code for the respective state that the city you are using resides. All Mexican points are to be entered in the same manner that U.S. and Canadian locations are used. For example: Mexico City must be entered as “Mexico City, DF” This indicates it is in the state of Distrito Federal. To download the latest RoadWork report, it can done by going to the menu item FEATURES, and selecting Route Processing Options. Click on the 'RoadWork' tab, and then click on the “Download Latest” button. The road construction server is updated every two weeks. Users need to have an active connection to the Internet in order to download the latest file. The date stamp will be displayed in the RoadWork tab once it is complete.

The user can accomplish this by going up to the menu options and click on FEATURES. Under the Features menu, select the Route Processing Options option. Within the dialogue box, the user may click on the Truck-Type Routing tab. Here is where you can view the option choices for truck specifications. One can specify Trailer Length, Truck Width, and Trailer Configuration.

The Quickest Route will determine the time most efficient truck usable route based off of Rand McNally's our proprietary designated road network database. IntelliRoute® 's Lowest-Cost routes, will calculate an itinerary that will take into consideration user input values such as: Cost of Time per hour, Maintenance per mile, Fuel Efficiency (MPG) , and Price per Gallon of fuel. Yes, this can be seen in the Fuel Finder option. After a route has been calculated, go to the menu option, FEATURES, and select Fuel Network Manager. Within this window, a user can view a listing of the fuel stops on a particular route. Other features they could use, would be from the buttons at the bottom of the window. If the user clicks on the ‘More Info’ button, they could find out information on the fuel stop, i.e., location, vehicle services, payment services, and driver services.

Yes, this can be done in the Fuel Network Manager. Go to the menu option, FEATURES and select Fuel Network Manager. By doing this, the Fuel Network Manager's window will pop-up. In the 'Fuel Locations' box, type in a particular fuel stop. Once that has been completed, you may click on the 'Add' button or double-click the site in the box below, to add it to the fuel network. Now when a route has been calculated, it will include those fuel stops within the itinerary that were selected in Fuel Network Manager.

Yes. In many ways, the 2008 Release is a cumulative update of all interim versions since Guide 18. IntelliRoute® now offers information on weigh stations, rest areas, and toll costs for each of its routing options. We will attempt to preserve most of the user preferences and settings found in the Guide 18 installation and bring them to Guide 19. We advise you review your installation after the update is complete to verify your settings comply with your organization's needs.

The update program will make a best effort to retain your previous avoid and preferred segments from the original installation. However, due to significant highway, junction, and road segment changes, not all avoided or preferred segments may not be able to converted to the new version. The update program will log such segments that could not be kept after the Guide 19 update is completed.

All interface modules (DLLs, OCX, or Java JNIs) will be retained in Guide 19. The directory locations of these newly rebuilt APIs will be the same as your base installation. The main update to the IntelliRoute® program will be the highway way data that is used to determine HHG and Practical Routes. It is a comprehensive review of commercial traffic road information which makes up the mileages and routes used for rating and dispatch operations. The update also includes an update to 5 digit ZIP codes, Fuel Stop information, as well as any new cities located since the last release. The update will also affect Quickest and Lowest Cost Routes which is configurable for variable trailer lengths, commodity based Hazardous Materials, and cost-sensitive routes.

There is either a hazmat, weight, height, or trailer restriction preventing the device from completing a route to the destination. Try adjusting the truck settings and attempting the route again. Address numbers are determined by an algorithm, based on the numbers at the beginning and end of the block. This typically produces accurate results, except in cases where the number is inconsistent. It may be easier to enter these locations by latitude and longitude.

There are many factors that are taken into consideration when calculating a route. That's why it's important to specify your truck settings accurately in the Truck Info menu. Verify that all the settings are correct and within the legal limits for the route in question.
