If you are having issues with your GPS signal, please follow the steps below.
750 and 550
- Go to the Rand Navigation
- Tap the gear icon on the bottom right.
- Tap the general tab at the top.
- Scroll down and tap System Settings.
- Tap Network and Internet
- Look for airplane mode to turn that ON. (You may need to step outside in a clear view of the sky)
If this fixes the issue, do not continue, and leave airplane mode on. If the signal does not come back in, follow the steps below.
- Take the device outside, at least 5 feet away from the truck,with a clear view of the sky and power cycle the device (use the reset button on the 550).
- Wait for the device to come back on, go back to the Rand Navigation and check for a GPS Signal. Repeat 3 times if needed.
- Make sure there are no other devices that might interfere with the signal (i.e., QUALCOMM, PeopleNet, etc.). If so, make sure they are as far away from the device as possible (at least 2 feet).
Check the settings and make sure the device is set to high accuracy. To do this, please follow these steps:
- Go to Android Settings
- Tap Security and Location
- Tap High Accuracy
- If it’s already set to High Accuracy, toggle the switch off/on and reboot the device. If it’s not set, change the setting to High Accuracy and reboot the device.
After the device reboots follow the steps below:
- Go back to Android Settings
- Tap Apps and Notifications
- Look for Rand Navigation and tap that to open.
- Look for Storage and tap that to open.
- Tap clear cache (do not tap clear data or it will erase all your saved information)
If you are still not able to gain a GPS signal, follow the steps below to do a GPS Test (750 only)
- Go to the Navigation App
- Tap the gear icon on the bottom right
- Tap the General tab at the top
- Scroll down and tap System Settings
- Scroll down and tap System
- Tap About Tablet at the bottom
- Tap TND OS Version 8 times until you enter Agent Services
- Tap GPS
From here the device will show a GPS Test running and it will try to gain a signal.

If you see any bars like the pictures above, please go back to the Rand Navigation app and check for a GPS Signal.
If this does not fix your issue and your device is still within the 1-year manufacture warranty, please call our customer support at 877-446-4863 so we can set up a repair ticket.
Tablet 85, Tablet 1050, OverDryve 7 & 8 Pro II
From the Home screen tap the settings gear at the top:
- Go to Android settings.
- Tap Network and Internet
