Screen brightness, volume, and track recording can deplete the battery. Keep these settings low or turn off track recording to save battery. You can also set the navigation to beep output in "Settings > Navigation Settings > Set guidance preference." Or, quick press the power button and choose "Screen off" to continue navigation and track recording but turn off the screen. Simply tap the screen to return.

Batteries are very sensitive to temperature, so it's best to keep them out of the cold. Much like humans, they run best at around 70°F. No matter what kind of batteries you use, make sure to adjust the settings on the device accordingly. See "Settings > System/General > Battery type." Lastly, when using rechargeable batteries, follow the manufacturer‘s instructions for maximum run time.
