Its possible that you have been recording for some time and/or the file resolution or duration of recording was high enough to make the file size very large.  When you stop the recording, the Dash Cam needs some time to save the recorded information onto the SD card.  Please wait a few seconds for this operation to complete.  After this, you will find the camera to be responsive once again.
